Meet The Tiger Team 🐯
What makes Subsdance so incredible and what has got us through Bushfires, Lockdown and a worldwide pandemic is the way we love and support each other as a community. This move will be one of our biggest undertakings yet, and I can’t do it alone.
Drum roll please! I would like to introduce you to the team that is allowing us to make this possible – The Tiger Team!
You will have already seen some of our tiger team at Subsdance working tirelessly behind the scenes, and going forward you’ll see a lot more of them. They are the cogs making this machine go, powering everything from managing the new venues and events to marketing and media, and lifting some of the work from my shoulders so that I have the chance to properly oversee these spaces coming to life.

Pascal, The Sunlight King ☀️

Pascal is one of our AfroBeats kings here at Subsdance! He is stepping into Sunlight as teacher as well as the studio manager.
If you were an animal what would you be and why? 🦁
I would be Lion. Lions are the only cats that stick with each other, they protect, watch and look after each other. They are very clam but very productive when it comes to achieving goals in a team. I think that is who i am, I am best at working in a team of people who share the same passion like me and make sure we do what it takes to see it through.
Lola, The Moonlight Queen! 🌙

You may have seen Lola at Subsdance behind our reception desk or even in some classes! She is stepping into Moonlight as teacher as well as our studio & venue manager.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? 🐝
I'd say a frog but they die far too easily. How about a fluffy little bumble bee? Bees are super hard, sometimes obsessive, workers. They’re also fiercely loyal to their hive/family, dedicating their life to the survival and prosperity of their unit. My friends, family and community are so important to me, ill do anything to keep them safe, often at my own expense. And anyone that knows me knows how truly obsessed I am with froggy work. Bees are also super cute, and like sweets and pretty things, just like me.

You may have seen Adriana in some of our classes or on stage with The Vaudevixens! She's behind our social media, marketing and design in both Sunlight & Moonlight.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? ❤️🐼
I've been told I remind people of a red panda, so that has to be it. I too am awkward, silly, soft, enjoy cold weather, and can be prone to dramatic body language when startled.
Maree, Event & Planning Powerhouse! 👸

You may recognise Maree from her infectious Zumba energy or from The Vaudevixens! Maree is our Event Queen and will go above and beyond to bring together not just Subsdance events, but any private event you could ask for.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? 🐙
Octopus. Not only do I like to have my hands in all of the pies at once, I also recently heard a fun fact about these weird ass creatures that I was like damn, I love that energy and relate all too well with. Scientists have discovered that sometimes an octopus will random go up to a fish and punch it, but cannot find any reason whatsoever as to why they do it. Just… because. Don’t worry, there’s no chance I’m going to randomly start throwing punches.

Anup from The AR Pixels has been partnering with Subsdance for a little while now, and his work speaks for itself! You can catch Anup at the front row of all our shows and events capturing some of our favourite moments. In our new spaces, Anup will be offering bookings for private photo & video shoots, for families & kids at Subsdance Sunlight, and saucy boudoir sets at Moonlight.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? 🦅
I imagine myself to be an eagle that always soars high and who maintains determination the prise.

Charlie needs no introduction - but they still get one. Charlie has been the director here at Subsdance since 2019, and we can't imagine the studio without them. They are the head honcho, and The Tiger Team is here to support them in the day-to-day so they can oversee the big picture as Subsdance Sunlight & Moonlight evolve.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? 🐶
I would be a Pitbull; specifically a rescue pitbull. Pitbulls have a reputation, that isn’t quite the reality. Many pit bulls are a bit scary looking on the outside, they are strong, driven and are majestic. Many of them also bit of a rough start (a bit like me) and all of them do have a strong, ferocious side when it comes to protecting those I love. But anyone who knows a pitbull for real knows that they are just a big old sweeties who just want to love everyone. They are silly, soft and would do anything for those they love. Big old boof boys who just wanna shower you love, fuelled by their bottomless energy!
